I've read about them, I've seen pictures of them, I've sympathized and empathized about them....and now I have one.
I was enjoying my Saturday afternoon watching TV, eating halloween candy and running my fingers through my hair. All of a sudden I feel a big knot in the middle of one of my baby locs. I yelled, "What is this?" (I really did). I had my roommate come and look at it, ran to the mirror and there was a big knot, bunch, bump or whatever you call it, just sitting there. I checked out every single baby for another one and that was the only one I found.....at first. It's about the size of a little pea and it's hard. I can only relate this experience to the first time you feel your baby kick when you're pregnant. I was so excited. Thanks to the blogs and sisterlock group I know, I believe I know what's going on. I'm progressing the way I'm supposed to. The information/education I've received is invaluable. I know that this is just part of the process of locking.......................right?
Two days later...I found a few more smaller little knots in the very back of my head, closer to the scalp. Oh well.....just another phase.

I was in SL Hell yesterday but am feeling much better today. If Stacy knew that I rolled my hair and misted with distilled water and rosemary EO she would kick my a#&!
My loc's are not coming out, I have a special eye on them. Stacy told me that your re-tightening went well. Good for you! And WE discussed the loose knots on the ends...add nauseum.

My loc's have taken on a life of their own and I am just rolling with the curls. The "kitchen" began to come apart, but everything else is doing well.
If Stacy doesn't bless me up and down at my re tightening then I will have done a good job with my babies!
Just seeing your blog for the 1st time. Very nice pics and commentary. They are coming along nicely. I am a newby as well. Dec 18,2007. 3 weeks tomorrow! I will be looking and feeling for buds, knots and such. Keep us posted on your progress.

Today was my day! I am officially sisterlocked, and I couldn't be more happy. This was worth the entire 16 hours of sitting, and now I'm looking forward to watching the progress. I will be creating a blog to track my progress and well, and I will definitley keep you updated :)
